FAQs

  1. Do I need to prepare anything?

No.  We will teach music and a dance combination for audition purposes.  All reading will be cold reading. If you come with a prepared song, we will certainly allow performance of the prepared piece, but it is not necessary.  We will have “plug and play” capability for prepared musical auditions, but we will not have an accompanist available.  Headshots and resumes are helpful but not required.

  •  How should I dress?

Please be prepared to dance.  Appropriate clothing and footwear is a must.

  • Do I have to be at all audition sessions?

No.  One session is adequate, however, attendance at multiple sessions is helpful.  We will call back children (12 and under) as needed.

  •  What are the age ranges?

For adult roles, we need 18 men aged 15 and up, 20 women aged 15 and up, 10 girls 7-14, and 10 boys 7-14. Parents of participants under the age of 18 should be aware that while we try to keep rehearsals to the specified times, rehearsals (especially towards the end of the process) could go late.  For kids younger than 12, we will make every effort to get them out of rehearsal by 9:00pm, but there are no guarantees.

  • What is the rehearsal schedule?

Typically, we will rehearse on Sunday afternoon and Sunday evening, and then Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings.  This is subject to change as we try to accommodate summer vacations, family conflicts, and work conflicts to the best of our ability.  There may be some Wednesday evening rehearsals.  The cast will have a complete schedule by the first rehearsal on June 9.  Note:  We can work around just about any conflict before July 7.
