SUMMARY:A Christmas Carol
DESCRIPTION:A Christmas Carol\nby Charles Dickens\nAdapted by Lavina Jadhwani \nAll Performance Dates:\nDecember 6 – 8:00 pm\nDecember 7 & 8 – 2:30 pm\nDecember 13 & 14 – 8:00 pm\nDecember 15 – 2:30 pm\nDecember 19\, 20 & 21 – 8:00 pm \nA miserly and miserable man\, Ebenezer Scrooge greets each Christmas with “Bah! Humbug!” until he is visited one Christmas Eve by the Ghosts of Christmas Past\, Christmas Present and Christmas Future. In Charles Dickens’ beloved classic\, the three spirits show Scrooge happy memories from his past\, difficult realities from the present and a grim future should he continue his closed-hearted ways. Throughout his journey\, Scrooge is forced to reckon with the man he has become and contemplate the man he could be — but only if his restless night leads to a change of heart by morning. \nDirected By:  Noah Dobbs & Amy Miller-Martin \nAuditions: September 29 & 30 at Lee College Performing Arts Center

SUMMARY:The Music Man
DESCRIPTION:All Performance Dates:\nJuly 26 & 27 – 8:00 pm\nJuly 28 – 2:30 pm\nAugust 2 & 3 – 8:00 pm\nAugust 4 – 2:30 pm \nThere’s trouble in River City! When smooth-talking con man Harold Hill arrives in a small\, tight-knit town in Iowa\, he expects to dupe its residents with his elaborate moneymaking scheme: Despite his complete lack of musical literacy\, he will convince everyone that he is a brilliant bandleader and recruit all the boys in town to form a band\, pocketing the cash for instruments and uniforms. The problem? Some of the town members\, especially the stern librarian\, Marian Paroo\, don’t quite buy Harold’s story. \nAs Harold struggles to keep his scheme afloat\, he also finds himself increasingly attached to the townspeople\, who have all experienced a positive change since Harold came to town. Complicating matters even more\, Harold is also falling head-over-heels for the beautiful Marian. \nDirected By: Jim Wadzinski \nAuditions:  Ended

SUMMARY:A Cardboard Christmas
DESCRIPTION:All Performance Dates:\nDecember 1 & 2 – 8:00 pm\nDecember 3 – 2:30 pm\nDecember 8 & 9 – 8:00 pm\nDecember 10 – 2:30 pm\nDecember 15 & 16 – 8:00 pm\nDecember 17 – 2:30 pm \nIt’s near Christmas\, and Alicia and her daughter (or son) Tate are homeless and surviving the best way that they can. Alicia’s brother Jeffrey shows up to try to help them\, and as they are navigating trying to get out of their situation\, an elderly stranger shows up. \nThe stranger is obviously ill and new to the streets\, and Alicia and Tate begin to show him the “ropes” of homelessness. In exchange\, the stranger shares interesting stories of how the different Christmas carols came to be: Silent Night\, O Holy Night\, The Christmas Song\, etc. much to the delight of Tate. \nMeanwhile\, many folks seem to be looking for the old stranger…police detectives\, lawyers\, and the like. Alicia and Tate refuse to give him up\, and the stories continue\, culminating in the heartbreaking story of how Robert May wrote the most popular Christmas story and song of all\, “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer\,” and the happy ending of how that song lifts Alicia and Tate from their plight. \nDirected By: Jim Wadzinski \nAuditions:  Ended \nBuy Tickets

DESCRIPTION:All Performance Dates:\nJuly 28 & 29 – 8:00 pm\nJuly 30 – 2:30 pm\nAugust 4 & 5 – 8:00 pm\nAugust 6 – 2:30 pm \nJames Lapine and Stephen Sondheim take everyone’s favorite storybook characters and bring them together for a timeless\, yet relevant\, piece… and a rare modern classic. The Tony Award-winning book and score are both enchanting and touching. \nThe story follows a Baker and his wife\, who wish to have a child; Cinderella\, who wishes to attend the King’s Festival; and Jack\, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch’s curse\, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone’s wish is granted\, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results. \nOne of Sondheim’s most popular works\, Into the Woods is a musically sophisticated show with the opportunity to feature actors adept at dark comedy. Designers will especially enjoy highlighting the fantastical elements of this magical word. \nDirected By: Noah Dobbs \nAuditions:  May 21st @ Baytown Little Theater and  22\,23 at Lee College Performing Arts Center all sessions are 7PM to 10PM \nAll performances at LEE COLLEGE PERFORMING ARTS CENTER 805 W Texas Ave\,  Baytown\, TX 77520
